A Nickel Striker box is just what it says. In days gone by a firing pin was addressed as a 'Striker' and because they were made of hard carbon steel sometime they would break in the field. These strikers or firing pins were made to the specific guns and therefore the gun owner would be supplied with at least two or more Strikers. These were kept safely in the gun case in a Striker Box or metallic bottle made of German Silver or Nickel, later to be made of brass and nickel plated.
